Traveling? Check CDC Travel Guide for restrictions before you travel

With the number of vaccinated Americans growing  and with the return of spring breaks and warmer weather, employers can expect that the number of employees requesting to travel to increase in the coming weeks and months. It’s important that employers and employees alike educate themselves on what the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has published in regards to travel restrictions, requirements, and guidance.  Here are some resources for your use:

TRAVEL GUIDE – this useful tool allows the user to enter their intended destination to learn about travel restrictions/requirements in that location.

TRAVEL DURING COVID – Travel increases your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19. CDC recommends that you do not travel at this time. Delay travel and stay home to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. If you must travel, here are some important questions to ask yourself and your loved ones beforehand.

FAQ Re: FOREIGN TRAVEL – If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States (US) and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).
