IUPAT Provides Guidance on Executive Order Requiring Mandatory Vaccinations

Please see below from Jimmy Williams Jr., IUPAT General President:

Good afternoon industry partners,

This link provides our signatory contractors who work as federal contractors or subcontractors with guidance for complying with the recently issued Executive Order requiring all contractors and subcontractors working on or in connection with federal contracts to ensure adequate COVID safety protocols, including adoption of a mandatory vaccination policy. Please be advised that LMCI does not provide legal advice – you should still consult with your own attorneys regarding specific compliance issues.

The Executive Order applies to new federal contracts executed after October 15, 2021, federal contracts that are renewed after that date, and existing federal contracts where the contractor has signed a modification incorporating a mandatory vaccine clause. All prime contractors must bind their subcontractors to comply with the clause. It is our understanding that many prime contractors are voluntarily agreeing to insert the mandate into their existing contracts.

You should also checkĀ Safer Federal Workforce frequently, as the government is constantly updating its FAQs and other advice.
